Preferred Providers

Program overview

The Events Industry Council has certified more than 11,000 meeting professionals since the inception of the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) program and each year, that number grows. To apply for or recertify for the CMP designation, these professionals must participate in at least 25 hours of continuing education activities. The Events Industry Council also offers the CMP-Healthcare (CMP-HC) subspecialty, which requires additional healthcare-related continuing education. If your organization offers continuing education that aligns with the CMP International Standards, the Events Industry Council can help you reach this audience.

By becoming a CMP Preferred Provider, you have the ability to showcase your education as well as provide your attendees with a streamlined process to track their CMP and CMP-HC CE hours.

The goal of the Preferred Provider Program is to ensure CMP professionals have access to a variety of quality continuing education opportunities.  We're always seeking new organizations with whom we can align to offer CE programs to the CMP community.

Why should I become a CMP Preferred Provider?

Becoming a CMP Preferred Provider reflects your organization’s commitment to providing education that helps individuals earn or maintain the CMP or CMP-HC certification.

As a CMP Preferred Provider you receive the following benefits:

  • Approved education events will be listed on the exclusive directory of CMP Preferred Providers on the Events Industry Council website with a direct link to register.
  • Marketing copy and program logos that can be used on marketing materials.

  • Promotion by Events Industry Council of CMP Preferred Providers continuing education opportunities as the Events Industry Council's recommended method for CMP and CMP-HC professionals to gain their CE credits.

  • Ability to load your attendance lists directly into attendee CMP online profiles, making applying for the CMP exam and recertification a breeze!
